Although some manufacturers may claim to make instruments that require less sharpening, only American Eagle’s Quik-Tips with the patented XP Technology eliminates the sharpening process altogether.

Not a superficial coating

The XP Technology is not a coating that will eventually flake off. It is a surface engineering process that actually infuses two extremely durable alloys together, creating a surface metal much harder than anything it will come into contact with during a standard hygiene procedure.

Most standard instruments begin to wear immediately because they are made of metals that are actually softer than the calculus they are trying to remove.

Quik-Tips are encapsulated in a durable ceramic metal alloy that is up to 5 times harder than the calculus or even the tooth’s enamel, resulting in a longevity that is unmatched in the industry.

The Sharpest Knife In The Drawer

During the XP process, the blade of the Quik-Tip is hardened, allowing a finer edge than that of a standard instrument. The tip is then mechanically sharpened twice, resulting in a blade far superior to those shaped by hand. Thus ensuring that you, our customer, will receive a precisely designed instrument, every time.

The super sharp edge removes the need for a “Pick-and-Flick” technique. Simply apply light pressure to plane away stubborn calculus, thereby reducing the chance of repetitive stress injuries and patient discomfort. Your wrists and patients will thank you!

Share and Share Alike

XP Technology creates a more positive atmosphere in your workplace where instruments can be shared by multiple technicians. With XP Technology’s longevity, our Quik-Tips offer you the same edge use after use. This eliminates the need to adjust your technique to a constantly dulling blade or to an instrument that has been improperly sharpened.

Waste Not, Want Not

Quik-Tip cone sockets save you money by reducing the waste of replacing an entire instrument. When a tip becomes unusable for any reason, simply replace it with a new tip. By retaining the majority of the instrument you pay a fraction of the price, thus minimizing the cost necessary to maintain your instruments at peak performance.

Save up to $4400 this year

On average, hygienists spend half an hour a day sharpening instruments. With average wages at $35 per hour, your office can save over $4400 per year in payroll costs. By completely removing the sharpening process, you can now spend that time with more patients, giving them better care.

XP Slices The Competition

We like to cut through the competitors claims as well as their edges. As an example to show just how hard our XP Quik-Tips really are, we decided to test our instrument against one from a leading competitor. With little to no damage to the XP edge, we shaved their carbon steel edge completely off, proving the durability that only comes from XP Technology.

We are the best alternative!

Quik-Tips are designed to be compatible with your current cone socket system, but will outlast and outperform anything you are using today. So choose the best alternative to your current tips and join the future of cone socket instrumentation!
